Underdogs are aplenty in Hollywood, where a number of famous actors who have been nominated for Academy Awards multiple times have never won the coveted honor. Michelle Williams, nominated for her role in Manchester By the Sea, lost for the fourth time during the Oscars on Sunday. Annette Bening, Glenn Close and Amy Adams have all been left empty-handed more than three times, while pop culture favorites like Bill Murray and Samuel L. Jackson have garnered a nomination each.
