A BEAUTIFUL MIND
Oscar loves a good uplifting struggle with adversity — especially if it's based on a real-life struggle. (More bonus points if it requires fake-age makeup because of its sweeping time frame.) The Academy loves to laugh a little, cr y a li ttle and even think it's learned a little. In this year's "showdown" between the tortured mathematician and the pointy-eared elves, everybody says "Beautiful Mind" will win. Whatever you say, Oscar.
