Helen Mirren did her usual professional job as the prim and grim head housekeeper in "Gosford Park," and the film can't go home empty-handed. A Spacek win for "Bedroom" bumps Tomei, and somehow in a Dame Judy Dench category Mirren looks a favorite over Smith. Though Oscar may get swept up in Americamania and simply bless Connelly.
