NIUE PARADISE GOES ONLINE
The world's smallest self-governed nation now is the first wi-fi nation as well. Richard St. Clair, one of just 2000 residents of this idyllic Polynesian island, set up the country's network this year. In places where there were no electric lines nearby, St. Clair used solar panels to power some of the island's hotspots.
