Senior Reporter TIME Magazine David Bjerklie is a senior reporter at TIME. He has covered a broad range of stories for the science section of the magazine since 1984, including 40 cover stories on topics such as cold fusion, cloning, ice age art, vegetarianism, bioethics and the origin of life. Most recently he has covered obesity, fetal development, mental health, women and heart disease, as well as meditation, mental health, diabetes and diet. Mr. Bjerklie studied biology, anthropology and limnology at the University of North Dakota and University of Minnesota and spent a year at The Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Knight Science Journalism Fellow, where he studied philosophy and cognitive science. He also contributes science articles to TIME's sister publication, TIME For Kids magazine.
