Professor and Associate Chairman Department of Pediatrics Cincinnati Children's Hospital Stephen R. Daniels, M.D., is professor and associate chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. He also serves as medical director of Healthworks. Trained in pediatrics, pediatric cardiology, hypertension and epidemiology, his research focus has been in the area of understanding the development of risk factors for adult cardiovascular disease in pediatric populations. His studies have examined elevated blood pressure and cholesterol abnormalities in children and the role that being overweight plays. Dr. Daniels has served as a member of the Pediatric Working Group of the National High Blood Pressure Education Program. He is a member of the NIH Epidemiology and Disease Control Study Section. He directs the pediatric lipid, hypertension and weight management clinics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Dr. Daniels earned his AB at University of Rochester and his M.D. from University of Chicago. He has an MPH from Harvard University and a Ph.D. from University of North Carolina.
