Betsy D. Holden is president of global marketing and category development for Kraft. She is responsible for leading the company's worldwide growth agenda across five global consumer sectors. In addition she has responsibility for global marketing resources, new product development and Kraft's global health and wellness initiatives.

Holden joined General Foods Corporation (which later merged with Kraft, Inc.) in 1982 as an assistant product manager in the desserts division. She became vice president of new product development and strategy and in 1991 was named vice president of marketing, dinners and enhancers.

In 1993, Holden became president of the Tombstone Pizza Division. She was named executive vice president and general manager of the Kraft Cheese Division in July 1995, and president of the Kraft Cheese Division in 1997. In 1998 Holden was elevated to executive vice president of Kraft Foods, Inc. responsible for operations, procurement, research & development, consumer insights & communications, and e-commerce.

She was first named president and CEO of Kraft Foods North America in May of 2000 and was appointed co-CEO of Kraft Foods Inc. and president and CEO of Kraft Foods North America in 2001.

Holden received a B.A. in education from Duke University and a M.A. in education from Northwestern University. She received a Masters of management and finance in marketing from Northwestern's J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
