Michael Mudd is executive vice president, global corporate affairs, for Kraft Foods. He is responsible for issues management, media relations, marketing communications, internal communications, and corporate contributions worldwide, as well as the company's corporate responsibility activities. In addition to his responsibilities at Kraft, he is chairman of the International Food Information Council (IFIC).

Over the past 10 years, Michael has led the development of a wide variety of programs to improve public communication of nutrition and food safety information. Most recently, he has helped lead the food industry's efforts to encourage healthy lifestyles in response to the growing problem of obesity.

A former journalist, he joined Kraft in 1984 as a speechwriter. He was named a vice president in 1991. In 2000 he was named senior vice president, corporate affairs for Kraft Foods North America.

Mr. Mudd is a member of the steering committee of the Partnership to Promote Healthy Eating and Active. He earned his B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross.
