Ann Pleshette Murphy's American Family segments are a recurring feature on Good Morning America. In addition, she hosts live chats on the GMA website, answering questions from parents across the country.

Ms. Murphy is a contributing editor of Parents magazine, where she served as editor-in-chief from 1988 to 1998. Her monthly Q&A column on children's behavior is one of the most popular features in the magazine.

Ann is currently writing a major book about motherhood. She was the editor of Good Food magazine, executive editor of Diversion Magazine, and senior editor of Redbook.

She graduated Harvard University with a degree in psychology. She was named one of the YMCA's Academy of Women Achievers in 1990. She chairs the board of the Greyston Family Inn, which provides housing, social services, and childcare for formerly homeless families. She serves on the boards of the Child Care Action Campaign, Parents as Teachers, and Zero to Three.
