"You Give Love a Bad Name"

The theme of the first round is the singer's favorite performance, and it's a no-brainer for Blake. Nothing wrong with his repeat of his Bon Jovi deconstruction; the simple problem is that the first go-round wowed us with its novelty, which it can't by definition the second time. (It also forces you to think: Would I really want to listen to this, repeatedly, on an album?) The audience, however, reacts like Blake was tossing out hundred-dollar bills, so maybe reminding fans of what they love about him will be enough. Simon lays down the contrast: It's performance vs. singing tonight.
