This could have been memorably horrible. Troup literally walked out of the audience and onto the stage after Jennifer Hudson announced that she had won the call-in vote. But it actually made for decent drama and Troup showed confidence, if not exactly a booming voice, while moving from Bill Withers' signature hit to Timberlake's.
