Here's how to do a slow song. Dressed as airline pilots, Gnarls Barkley's Cee-Lo and Danger Mouse began alone on a raised platform in the middle of the crowd. Playing dozens of beats per minute slower than on the original record, they set a dramatic tone, then moved to the main stage where a full orchestra and an army of back-up singers were waiting to join them on the chorus.
