Actor Edward Woodward Dies at 79

(LONDON) — The agent for English actor Edward Woodward says that he has died after suffering from illnesses including pneumonia.

Woodward, known for roles including the American TV series The Equalizer and the film The Wicker Man, was 79.

His agent, Janet Glass, said Woodward died Monday morning in a hospital in Cornwall, a county in southwestern England.

Woodward is survived by his wife Michele, two daughters and two sons.
