The words "comfort" and "transit" form an unlikely pairingunless you're talking about Singapore's Changi Airport, where a rooftop Jacuzzi and swimming pool turn downtime between flights into an unexpected extension of your holiday. High above Terminal 1, weary passengers can soak in a burbling hot tub or take a rejuvenating dip in the adjacent kidney-shape pool while watching 747s roll across the tarmac. What's more, only a handful of the millions of passengers who pass through the Lion City's superslick airport each year seem to know about this mini rooftop resort, so you can generally take your pick of sun loungers. Changi also offers massage studios, Asia's largest airport gym, free Internet access through 200 terminals, and Xbox consoles for video-game fans, thus proving the old adage "it is sometimes better to travel than to arrive."
