HONG KONG TOURIST ASSOCIATION (www.hkta.org)
THE SCORE: The HKTA's website has won many awards, and for good reason. Find out about festivals, cultural events, hotels, restaurants, travel deals, visa requirements, tours and how to get around the city. While you can't book a room on the site, you can send an e-mail message to Hong Kong Hotels Association members. There is also a list of HKTA offices around the world to help you plan your trip before you land at the new airport.
SHANGHAI TANG (www.shanghaitang.com)
THE STORE: Hillary and Chelsea made a pit stop here in July to load up on silk pajamas and other "Made by Chinese" goodies. The wares range from kitsch (watches with a waving Chairman Mao) to classy (scarves, silverware and custom-made cheongsam dresses). The website gives directions and lets you order from a selection of brightly colored trinkets and clothing.
