HOT TIP

Breaking up your trip is easy to do, especially with Malaysia Airlines' "Malaysia Stopover" deal. It allows stays of up to 14 nights at hotels in Malaysia and Singapore for as low as $11 for the first night, with bargain rates thereafter. Up to two destinations may be selected for each stopover and two stopovers per round-trip ticket. The deal ends Mar. 31. If you're traveling with a pal, the airline's "Showcase Malaysia" package gets you four free nights at more than 100 hotels until Nov. 30. Meanwhile, the "Singapore Stopover Splendor" package from Singapore Airlines and SilkAir lets long-haul passengers pay only $1 for the first night and $30 a night thereafter, until Dec. 31. And Thai Airways is offering low "Circle Trip Fares" for up to six stopovers in ASEAN member countries.
