When to Go

Weekends and public holidays generate a flood of tourists into Macau from nearby Hong Kong--hotels double their prices and rooms are hard to find. Chinese New Year, though the cause for a spectacular carnival atmosphere, suffers from the same problems. July to September is the peak time for western tourists to visit Macau, though the best weather is in October and November.
