MAY DAY: The month of May is a great time to take advantage of end-of-spring travel deals in Seoul. Three hotels owned by the Starwood group have special offers. The Westin Chosun Seoul, which has been undergoing a $30 million renovation that's due for completion next year, is giving an affordable sneak preview of its spruced-up look. Until May 31, 172 of its newly refurbished rooms are available at $169 a night. In a separate deal, the Westin, along with its sister hotel in Pusan and the Sheraton Walker Hill in Seoul, is offering up to 20% off food and beverage purchases to members of the Asiana Bonus Club frequent-flyer program, also through the end of May. Meanwhile, Asiana's rival national carrier, Korean Air, recently launched a reservation service with special Internet-only deals at www.koreanair.co.kr. KAL is offering a 5% discount on flights from Korea to Japan and China for tickets booked online until May 31. Currently, the airline's cyber-booking system only processes tickets for flights originating in the U.S., Canada, Korea and Japan.
