the past 20 years, they remain niche players in the industry. While no one
disputes their artistry and creative brilliance, no Japanese talents has been
appointed head of a major Western fashion house. "It's because their clothes
aren't commercial enough: they're too difficult to wear," says Anna Wintour,
editor of American "Vogue".
