BAND OF BROTHERS
In May of 1944, more than 1500 paratroopers took part in this exhibition jump, the largest ever conducted by the U.S. Army forces. A month later, on D-Day, Easy Company parachuted into Occupied France, part of an Allied force that included 23,000 paratroopers — of which 13,000 were from the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions — and more than 150,000 men in all.
