Public Enemy Number One

John Dillinger has escaped his Indiana "escape proof" prison. How? The king of disguise whittled a piece of wood into the shape of a gun and waved it at guards until they let him go. G-men offer up to $25,000 to anyone who can bring them to Dillinger. But it won't be easy. It's rumored he's had face-lifts, changed his hair color and even burned off his fingerprints with acid!

"Where's my wife?"

George Putnam isn't ready to give up on his missing wife, pilot Amelia Earhart. He's convinced the US to spend $4.5 million on a search at sea, the most ever spent on such a search. Unfortunately, all the money in the world may not bring her back. In her quest to be the first woman to pilot a plane around the world, she vanished over the South Pacific. And the wild rumors are flying. Is she a spy for the US? Did the Japanese shoot her down? Is she now riding through the stars with otherworldly beings? Or did her plane simply crash due to pilot error? We may never know!

The Sweet Taste of Success
