DO YOU HAVE PREDIABETES?
A person with prediabetes has slightly higher than normal glucose levels and is more likely to get diabetes. You're considered prediabetic if:

Your fasting glucose test measures from 100 mg/dL to 125 mg/dL
Your glucose tolerance test measures from 140 mg/dL to 199 mg/dL

DO YOU HAVE DIABETES?
Your body can't control the amount of sugar in your blood, resulting in a fasting glucose of 126 mg/dL or higher. You should get tested if you notice any of these warning signs:

Frequent urination, especially at night
Blurred vision
Increased thirst
Unusual hunger
Unexplained weight loss
Sores that do not heal
Unusual fatigue
DO YOU HAVE METABOLIC SYNDROME?
If three or more of the following are true, you have the syndrome and are at risk of heart disease or diabetes:

Your waist measures more than 40 in. in men or 35 in. in women
Your fasting triglyceride levels are 150 mg/dL or higher
The level of HDL cholesterol in your blood is less than 40 mg/dL if you're a man or 50 mg/dL if you're a woman
Your blood pressure is 130/85 mm Hg or higher
Your fasting glucose measures 110 mg/dL or higher
