Is the Greenhouse For Real?

June turned out to be the hottest month since global temperature recording began a century ago: 1.75 degrees higher over land than the long-term mean. Vice President Al Gore says it's evidence that global warming is real and that it's being caused by man-made greenhouse gases.

Scientists do not unanimously support the global warming theory. Skeptics say that the heat wave is merely a short-term event, and that long-term trends haven't emerged.
