English-born Seamus Murphy grew up in Ireland and studied film and video at the Dublin Institute of Technology. A self-taught photographer, he has been published in TIME, the New York Times Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Paris-Match, Der Spiegel, and British GQ and Esquire. Murphy has won several awards for his work, including a first and second prize for portraits at World Press Photo in 1999. Based in London, Murphy joined SABA photo agency in 1998.
