Shot Dead at 14 Months: One night in 1997, Mary Beth Hacke and her family stopped for gas near their home in Pittsburgh. Suddenly a 22-year-old career criminal opened fire on another car at the gas station. One bullet struck Ryan Hacke, 14 months old, as his three-year-old brother looked on. Ryan died the next day. The Hackes have since had two more children, who call their dead brother "Angel Ryan."
