Her Only Son: Carol Ann Taylor's only son, Willie, 17, was killed in a spray of bullets back in 1993, as he stood with friends on a Los Angeles street. The gun was never recovered, the shooter never caught. Taylor says she spent two years "in shock" and still doesn't sleep well. Then last year she saw an ad for the Million Mom March in a magazine she was reading at 1 a.m. She wrote a letter that Dees-Thomases credits for energizing the Million Moms campaign in its early days. Taylor will speak at the march in Washington on Sunday.
