T H E F A C U L T Y A Peek Inside the Doors of Webster Groves High
Part teaching force, part SWAT team, the modern high school faculty has the
dubious privilege of meeting kids at their most vulnerable (like at 7:30 in
the morning) and at their most hormonally-charged. English teacher Minnie
Phillips (above right) draws out her most reticent students with
anecdotes that make sense in their lives. Principal Pat Voss (also above)
keeps a vigilant eye on both classrooms and parent-teacher meetings. Armed
with walkie-talkies and lesson plans, the faculty at Webster Groves share
connections with their students many parents would envy.
