Is there any reason to believe that there will ever be a complete armistice between India and Pakistan? Here's one cause for optimism: right-wing Hindu chauvinists are in power in Delhi, and the virulently anti-India army rules Pakistan. If those two adversaries can negotiate a truce over this long-disputed territory, anything's possible. The U.S. can help: India wants an alliance and Pakistan needs cash.
