Wanna stay wired while you chop your tomatoes? Try the attractively named GRD-267DTU from Korea's LG. This towering, Internet-connected icebox with its built-in 15-in. display doesn't just fetch your e-mail, it also has an MP3 music player with stereo speakers, TV, touchscreen panel, videophone and digital camera. Your friends can watch you dice 'n' slice while you gab to them on the videophone. The fridge even keeps your food cold. But it doesn't send you an instant message when you're running low on beer, at least not yet; LG is waiting for advances in bar-code technology. For now, it's up to the owner to program an alert that sounds near the end of the lager cycle. How long does your 12-pack of Stella normally last? Just let the fridge know. LG has also included a feature that suggests what to make with the contents of your fridge. Got a surplus of eggs and milk? Try pancakes. Of course, at a not-so-cool price of $11,000, you might have to see this to believe in it.
