Europe's A380 superjumbo finally gets off the ground
Wednesday, April 27, 2005: The massive Airbus 380 doubledecker superjumbo looks as light as a feather high above the clouds on its maiden flight. The 555-seat plane — the world's largest passenger jet — took off from Blagnac near Toulouse, southwestern France, before landing there again some hours later. The A380 is expected to enter service with airlines worldwide in mid-2006
