Tuesday, April 26, 2005: A protester is pushed away by a soldier from a street near Beirut's parliament building where relatives of Lebanese citizens held in Syrian prisons were protesting. Some demonstrators hit MPs' cars with Lebanese flags and two shots were fired in the air by a bodyguard before hitting a man with the butt of his pistol. The Lebanese Red Cross said 16 people were hurt in the scuffle. The Lebanese government and Syria deny any Lebanese are being detained but human rights groups say dozens are still being held across the border.
