Rockwell's vision of the future: A glass tube booth for video conferencing with wireless transmission. Simply swipe a card or deposit cash to enter. When not in use, the clear booth floats in the visual landscape of the city. When occupied, the booth becomes opaque and obscures the caller. On the outside, passersby view animated advertisements while inside the caller uses hands-free technology to place the visual call. Once a call is dialed the caller's image is transmitted via the boothıs camera and the occupant views the person with whom he or she is speaking. The booth also features multiple windows, similar to Internet screens, containing information and advertisements.
