Thank you for Michael Elliott's "Europeans Just Want to Have Fun" [ESSAY, July 28]. Learning from the Europeans is an excellent idea. As my child grows older, I see more benefits from spending time with family and fewer from toiling away so that we can afford a monster house and SUV.
