At Talking Street (TalkingStreet.com) which focuses on major East Coast cities, you download a map of a tour online then dial in at indicated locations to hear historical stories and the scoop on local haunts from celebs with a connection to the place. Native New Yorker Sigourney Weaver escorts you through Lower Manhattan, for example, while rocker Steven Tyler takes you around Boston. (Larry King's Washington is planned for January.) The cost is $5.95. Other notable offerings: the National Park Service's Revolutionary War tour at Minute Man National Historic Park in Concord, Mass. (978-369-6993; $5.99), and the Cell Phone Safari at the Sacramento Zoo (703-286-6545; $3.99-$5.99).
