Blogwatch: Apr. 18, 2005
As the Drudge Report marks its 10th year of headline gathering, bloggers are wondering what to make of a new, more tabloidish competitor called Sploid. STANDARD DEVIANCE lauded Sploid for having "the same sort of screaming ridiculous headlines as [Drudge] but without the right-wing hysteria." UNCORRELATED noted a hurdle in terms of scoops for an upstart with no G.O.P. ties: "Being out of power means being out of the loop."
