You got your 70s Show role after the producers saw you in a school play. Do you relate to your In Good Company character, for whom career success came a bit too easily? When my character says to Scarlett Johansson's, "I'm scared s___less. I have no idea what I'm doing," I did not have to do a lot of research for that scene.

Would you rather be a boss or a totally awesome wingman? I'm really a team player. My nightmare would be Cast Away.

Why did you wear a wig for That 70s Show? The last two years I did, because of film work. Once we realized how great the wig worked, I was kicking myself. I'd had the 'fro for five years.

What's in Darien, Conn., that it produced you, Chloë Sevigny, Moby and Kate Bosworth? I don't know. I was in a summer theater program with Chloë--she was the Scarecrow and I was the Tin Man in Wizard of Oz.

Your 70s Show co-stars are in the tabloids a lot. You're not. Is that deliberate? Yes. It's really important that you have your own private life, cause you're mining that.

As an actor? No, as a miner.

You have a Monopoly club. It's serious. I make everyone sign a contract saying they'll sit through till the end of the game. Inevitably, if someone's winning [points at self], everyone's like, "I'm gonna go get a snack."
