Expecting A TomKitten

It's the kind of news that prompts Oprah's producers to put the upholsterer on speed dial. Effusive, couch-hopping star TOM CRUISE and his fiancé of four months KATIE HOLMES announced to PEOPLE magazine that they are expecting a baby. From the beginning of their speedy courtship last spring, the couple's photo-ready displays of affection, simultaneous summer blockbusters and color-coordinated public appearances have inspired skeptics to dismiss the relationship as a publicity stunt and dub the couple TomKat. But if it is a stunt, they're both very committed to it. One thing's for sure: they won't need to send out birth announcements.
