Jewelry
L'Atlantide is the name of the newest high-jewelry collection to emerge from the Place Vendôme ateliers of Van Cleef & Arpels. The jewelry, which will be introduced at a private dinner in Hong Kong this month and then flown immediately to New York City, includes pieces reminiscent of the mythical island and its lost civilization. Underwater icons such as fish (below), shells and the waves of the sea are recurring themes. One magnificent ring features a 59-carat pearl with baroque diamonds splashing around it.
