The obvious answer to that is the Muslim world and the rest of the world. But it's more complex than that because a lot of the battle is not between Islam and the West. It is inside the Muslim world, between those forces that are authoritarian and those who object to that.

There's a project right now to make a film of Midnight's Children, and I've written the screenplay. It's going to be directed by the Canadian-Indian director Deepa Mehta.
