All the President's Beds

LONDON
Lanesborough

George W. Bush was scheduled to bunk at Buckingham Palace on his state visit last week, but this three-bedroom suite compares well. It costs $8,340 a night, but you get your money's worth: your own butler and a chauffeur-driven Bentley for the duration of your stay.

PARIS
Georges V

Just one bedroom, but it's lavishly furnished with fabric-covered walls, crystal chandeliers and original French paintings from the 18th and 19th centuries. The suite features a private sauna, steam and fitness room. All this for just $7,415 a night. Not grand enough? For an additional $3,000, you can upgrade to the Royal Suite and get an extra bedroom and double the space.

NEW YORK
Mandarin Oriental

For $12,000 a night, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Central Park and the New York City skyline at this 5-star hotel, which opened two weeks ago. Luxuries include silk-padded walls, hand-crafted oriental rugs, onyx bathrooms and a top-of-the-line entertainment system with a room all to itself.

HONG KONG
Peninsula

Designed to CIA and MI5 security specifications—which require it to be sandwiched between two floors of guest rooms—this suite is truly fit for a President. The perks include a chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce, private elevator to the helicopter pad and a security post outside the room. A snip at $5,500 a night.

DUBAI
Burj Al Arab

Big-spending guests at the world's tallest hotel get their own individual business center and private elevator service between the two floors of the suite. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide breathtaking views of the Gulf, and guests can pamper themselves with a wide range of full-size Hermès toiletries, all for just $5,435 a night.
