Keep on Truckin'
If you thought proletarian chic stopped with the lumberjack shirts and beat-up sneakers of early 1990s grunge, think again. Trucker hats are the latest item to come out of the blue-collar closet, and though true style mavens latched on to them some months ago, the hats have only just made it onto the mainstream radar. If you're not familiar with the look, think baseball caps but with a higher foam front and a plastic mesh back. Designer logos are a no-no: you'll want a trucker hat that advertises beer, motor oil or construction equipment for that extra authenticity. CB radios optional.
