ROM OUR READERS
To Poland with Pleasure

I WAS DELIGHTED TO READ YOUR STORY "SITTING PRETTY IN Poland" [TIME Global Business, March]. I have had the good fortune of visiting this land twice in the past seven years, and it is all you say and more. Warsaw has become a bustling and vibrant city, with many new shops and services, while the Old Town section offers a peek at the past. [But] the greatest attraction Poland has to offer is its people. They have a love of life and humankind that is unrivaled. There is an old saying in Poland that goes something like this: When there is a guest in the home, God is with us. I would encourage anyone who has had the passing thought of visiting this country to do so without hesitation.
