You noted that the estimated tiger population in the wild is 5,000 to 7,000. Your story also reported that as many as 7,000 tigers are thought to be kept as pets in the U.S. What an indictment! It is small consolation that they are at least still alive, however miserably, and not being worn as fur coats.
