RADICALS: Active Debs
Eugene Victor Debs, acknowledged leader of the Socialist Party, and four times candidate for the Presidency, has again entered the political arena. In Chicago he campaigned for William A. Cunnea, labor lawyer, who is running for mayor on the Socialist ticket. Debs, his health recovered after his recent term in jail for violation of the Espionage Act, is said to possess his old time fire and enthusiasm, speaking every day at labor and radical rallies.
