Foreign News: Daylight Saving
France, after much procrastination, adopted daylight saving. Following the passage of the bill in the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate voted by 180-109 to advance the clock by one hour.
It was previously decided (see TIME, April 7) by an Order-in-Council to start and end the working day half an hour earlier. At that time the Daylight Saving Bill was blocked by the Deputies.
