Five months ago two French aviators named Gate and Constant-Bree, flying around the west African coast, vanished in a storm over Portuguese Guinea. After several weeks without word of the men, Pilot Gate's wife went in search of them, insisted on accompanying a detail of Portuguese soldiers into the wilderness of the Cacheo River.
