In Chicago John Barrymore, now starring in My Dear Children after 14 years' absence from the stage, addressed 300 students of journalism, was asked by one: "What made you come back to the theatre?" Said he: "I had a vision of my grandmother* and she told me: 'Go back to the boards where you belong, you bastard.' "
