Most U. S. song hits are made in the U. S. But last week two imported tunes were leading the U. S. field: 1) the Czech Beer Barrel Polka (550,000 copies sold to date); 2) South of the Border, a song about Mexico by two London Irishmen (Jimmy Kennedy and Michael Carr) who have never been there (over 500,000).
