RACES: World Renowned Whites

Rev. James Lafayette Horace is the Negro parson of Monumental Baptist Church on Chicago's South Side. Lately he has been annoyed by receiving invitations to join the Illinois Automobile Club, written on stationery which explains that the club is for "white persons only." Last week Parson Horace took action. To the I. A. C. he wrote:

"Check your mailing list and remove my name so I will not receive any more such trash and insults. You have the nerve to say 'white persons only' as though being white was a badge of honor.

"The enclosed picture of Mary Schuch* from the Herald and Examiner is a white person. So was Dillinger and F. Donald Coster who wrecked the 80-million dollar McKesson drug chain recently.

"Capone is white; so is 'Machine Gun' Kelly; so are Hitler and Mussolini, public enemies number one of civilization and humanity. In fact all the notorious and world renowned crooks whom I know are white.

"Yet, you have the nerve to hold up 'race' as a means of evaluating personality."
