World: Message from Wake
From the little band of professionals on Wake Island came an impudently defiant message phrased for history. Wake's Marines were asked by radio what they needed. The answer made old Marines' chests grow under their campaign bars: "Send us more Japs."
Over the Marines on Wake and Midway at week's end the flag still flew.
